Adventures in Archive Land

Hello, Internet!
I thought it would be a neat idea to start a blog relating my adventures at The Treasury, a small archive and family history research centre in Thames.
This is The Treasury when the archive building opened in March. Fancy.
Just shy of two months ago, I left my job at Waikato Museum to volunteer at The Treasury and study archive management with Open Polytech. It was a bit of a jump - museum life could be incredibly hectic, whereas the archive seemed pretty sedate on the surface. There is, however, a lot more going on between the shelves of the archive room itself.

Here, I'm taking a stab at making the dusty documents I'm learning to handle come back to life.
